«o»The Supreme Court has handed a ruling banning foreign nationals from contributing to US elections back to the appeals court it came from untouched. The lower court ruled that the ban stood, and for now that seems to be the case.
«o»The president of Iran is on tour of nations friendly, and business related to his country. Right now he's in Venezuela discussing oil interests and refinery development. The next stop is Nicaragua where he will discuss the potential for a pipeline and then to Ecuador where he will discuss the potential for getting a piece of EXXON's action in the country. EXXON was just fined billions of dollars by Ecuador for polluting their land and waterways, and may just leave instead of fessing up, manning up, and paying for their share of that country's industrial pollution problem. Then Iran's president will visit Cuba to meet it's new leader.

In a document posted to the Department of Homeland Security's website, the agency confirmed the existence of an extensive media monitoring program. Since at least 2010, DHS has been collecting personally identifiable information on "anchors, newscasters, or on-scene reporters who are known or identified as reporters in their post or article or who use traditional and/or social media in real time to keep their audience situationally aware and informed" and "current and former public officials who are victims of incidents or activities related to Homeland Security."
