A shaky truce has been reached between the Yemeni government and Houthi/tribal rebels in the North of the country, PERHAPS allowing the Yemeni government and the Saudis who have put troops over the border at times, to focus on 'al Qaeda' elements in the region... Assuming the truce holds.
The Senate has confirmed 27 presidential nominees and more may be confimed soon as the Republicans, spearheaded by senator Shelby, back off on their filibuster and stonewall, which in the process, risked recess appointments by the president.
The California Salmon season has been called off for the third year in a row as their numbers continue to decline and have reached a record low:

Jeff Clark is accusing Mavericks Surf Ventures of breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty and fraud.

Police: MA Man Stockpiled Weapons, Feared 'Armageddon'
"A Massachusetts technology consultant who feared martial law was imminent and was preparing for "Armageddon," according to police, has been charged with stockpiling weapons, and having explosive devices including tear gas and pepper ball canisters."
"Police said Girard also had military camouflage clothing, knives, handcuffs, bulletproof vests and helmets, night vision goggles, medicine, and six months' worth of food supplies. "We don't think he was preparing to attack the community, he was preparing for domestic and political turmoil," the police chief told the paper."
