» There will a meeting at the White House today between the Republicans and Democrats to hash out some version of the federal budget amenable to both parties. Expect nothing good for America's citizens to come from it.
» Next week the Federal Debt Limits come into play because as of the 15th of May the US will reach it and will no longer be able to borrow money to finance their debts.
» Both of Muammar al-Gadaffi's sons are in Europe attempting to come to an agreement regarding replacing the current Libyan governmental structure with something more suitable to the West and the nation's trading partners. France and Italy won't even talk with them... and the war on Libya continues.
» Yemen is going down fast with the opposition requesting international intervention. 120 civilians have been killed by sniper fire other government committed violence and 6000 have been wounded. Any support in country for the Saleh government has evaporated.
» Attorney General Holder said yesterday that the Republican's efforts to prevent a shut down of Guantanamo Concentration-Camp-By-The-Sea has been successful and there will be military tribunals there instead of public trials for the victims still incarcerated in cages at the camp.
» Speaking of 'incarcerated in cages...'

That's May 23 2011… Manning will have been incarcerated for a year without charges filed, and on that day, unless he appears in military court, the US military will be in violation of their own laws. As if it's news to anyone that the Pentagon and the US government consistently violate their own laws with impunity when it's in their own vested interest.
