Former Panama president Manuel Noriega, who received a 20 years sentence in the U.S. for drug related crimes, served every day of it and was turned over to the French authorities on money laundering charges a while back just received 7 more years. and Leslie Van Houten, one of 'Charlie's Girls', convicted of first degree murder, was turned down for parole, most likely for the last time given her age.
The Department of Justice is in the process of filing court papers, including an injunction, contesting Arizona's racist new immigration law, . If the injunction is not granted the law goes into effect on the 29th of this month.
Also notable, it was later found that the Pentagon has classified the person running the site that published the video, Julian Assange of Wikileaks, to be, essentially, an enemy of the state.
