In The News: The two Koreas prepare for the 60th anniversary of North Korea's march South that started the Korean War, and it apparently ain't over yet. The USS McCandless has taken the watch over a North Korean scow believed to be carrying weapons. The North Koreans are also ready to celebrate the month of July with a missile barrage which the US seems to be using as a rationale to test their surveillance capabilities.

...and then there's this familiar sounding theme: N.Korea 'Helping Burma with WMD', from South Korea's Chosun Ilbo...

A surge in Iraq - There have been bombing attacks on the Shia community in the run-up to the new Iraqi national holiday centered around the US pulling out of Iraq's cities.

South Carolina governor Sanford who had been a potential presidential candidate, had been missing for 5 days and turned up to confess that he ran off to spend the week in Argentina with his mistress. His resignations are pending... including a resignation from his marriage. More on this in the commentary.

The House of Representatives will vote tomorrow on "capping & trading" our environmental pollutants. That means the polluters will have something to trade for $$$ and non-polluters won't. (snicker). President Obama LUVs 'Cap and Trade'... Others have their doubts.
