September 02 2011 Travus T. Hipp Morning News & Commentary: Labor Day Notes - Labor Isn't Supposed To Go To The President For 'Help'... He's Supposed To Come to YOU
In The News: Thanks this morning to ChrisM, my MP3Angel, for supplying the news and commentary audio files. »The lowdown on just how low down the US economy is... Today's BLS job report shows no new jobs were created in the US last month and the two months previous have been revised down with a 9.1% unemployment rate expected through at least the end of 2013. Gold is currently $1,878 an ounce, and Obama has scheduled a joint address to congress next Thursday. The topic being jobs and transportation, with transportation infrastructure repair and upgrading being one of the ways the administration hopes to create jobs. The construction industry might get a big boost from stimulus money thrown at them for road and bridge repair, however that sort of job will most likely not be available to many Americans nor the hardest hit sector of the US population, your kids.
The latest news from the Bureau of Labor Statistics indicates America should be very afraid of it's children. About 51% of Americans age 16-24 were unemployed during prime hiring season of July.
“In July 2011, 18.6 million 16- to 24-year-olds were employed, about the same as last year. This summer's increase in youth employment--from April to July--was 1.7 million, down slightly from last summer (1.8 million). The employment-population ratio for youth--the proportion of the 16- to 24-year-old civilian noninstitutional population that was employed--was 48.8 percent in July, a record low for the series," [Source, Bureau of Labor Statistics]
»Chinese investors are bidding on a possible purchase of the Los Angeles Dodgers. It may turn out to be the highest priced purchase of a baseball team ever.
»The siege of Muammar al-Gadaffi's home town of Sirte Libya has been delayed until to next week. Meaning the 100,000 or so civilians in the city aren't going to get bombed just yet, they're going to be starved of food and water. The rebels say the postponement of the attack on the city is a "show of confidence", but perhaps it's because they're waiting for another shipment of observation drones from the US or weapons shipments from France. (speaking of Obama's apparent wish for jobs creation in the US transportation sector, why should Ford build cars when they make bank on Hydrogen powered drones for the Pentagon and CIA's dirty wars??)
»Meanwhile a 60 nation meeting on how to 'rebuild' the Libyan infrastructure after NATO blew it up including the the destruction of the main water supply to the Bedouin desert dwellers is about to begin with the UN, utterly absent from the scene while NATO violated the provisions of the UN mandate on protection of Libyan civilians and the disarming of ALL parties to the conflict (France is known to have supplied weapons to the Western-backed rebel army with it not being clear whether the US and Britain did) promising aid and offices by this weekend.
»There has been a 7.1 quake in the Western Aleutian Islands this morning. The Tsunami warning that was issued has been cancelled and there isn't much in the Aleutian Island chain to damage except a few small military and meteorological/oceanographic monitoring stations.
One last thing... Due to the confiscation of their US server and continued cyberattacks on the main WikiLeaks site, WikiLeaks has distributed the 'key' to their global network of mirrored archives and has instructed ALL MIRRORS to DUMP ALL DOX.
A leaked document from the United Nations regarding post-conflict deployment to Libya and discussing the possible continued role of NATO in military peacekeeping operations.
This UN plan was originally obtained and posted online by Inner City Press as you will be able to tell due to their marking of every single page of the document. The plan indicates that NATO could potentially have an ongoing role in the country’s affairs following the cessation of the immediate conflict. [More, with link to document PDF]
Further, If you were initially enamored with the CIA-army-fronted NATO invasion of Libya and later found you were wrong about the legitimacy of it's operations you'd just be 'wrong'. However in the following article the word "Snookered" is used, except it's not just one word describing what's really occurred... The phrase "consorting with full knowledge" is closer to it. But former CIA analyst and UPI Editor-At-Large Arnaud de Borchgrave isn't going to step out on that editorial limb:
"Were the United States, France, Britain, Belgium, Denmark, Norway, Qatar and the United Arad Emirates -- the NATO-led coalition that set out to overthrow Moammar Gadhafi's regime -snookered by al-Qaida? A preposterous scenario with some disturbing factual elements..." [In Full]
As I was saying, if you thought the invasion of Libya by a NATO backed proxy army was appropriate you'll LUV what's about to happen in Syria... again, most likely with a worthless unmonitored-as-to-action-taken piece of paper written by the U.N.
So lets discuss the UN's next 'humanitarian intervention' after a CIA backed internal 'softening up' already in progress... Syria. The newest "insane dictator" Bashar al-Assad, may not be so 'insane' after all.
As yours truly has previously written, the new intensive version of a 'color revolution' includes infiltrating armed thugs into demonstrations resulting in dead civilians that the Western media batters us with every time it happens... Well the telltale signs of those CIA operations are beginning to show:
"But she (protest organizer) added that claims by the Syrian authorities that armed groups are responsible for some of the deaths were not unfounded. She said cars full of unidentified men routinely open fire on civilians and security forces alike." [In Full @ MinnPost, Minneapolis Minnesota]
The level of sectarian violence is beginning to rise as well. Another indicator of provocateurism as the Christians and Muslims usually coexist without too much mayhem no less a "Pogrom" threatened if they don't 'go along to get along' with the protests, most likely rigged for violence by the selfsame armed thugs mentioned previously, or their 'friends'.
"In the village of Hala outside Deraa, Muslim inhabitants told their Christian neighbours to join the demonstrations against the regime – or leave." [Robert Fisk @ Independent UK]
In summation, from the Libya incursion example... Playing soon at a theater near you... If you live in the NATO theater of operation known as "Syria".
CIA recruits 1,500 from Mazar-e-Sharif to fight (in Libya... this time)[The Nation (PK)]
I rest my case...
