Israel will not send Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to the 47 nation weapons reduction conference in NY. Israel has never admitted having nuclear weapons and they would be the perfect poster child for the Muslim world to point out US hypocrisy in it's demands on Iran and it's nuclear program

While President Barack Obama speaks overseas of his vision of a world without nuclear weapons, his military commanders at home are quietly accelerating a programme to develop and deploy a new class of conventional intercontinental ballistic missiles which will have the capacity to strike targets anywhere in the world within an hour.
While the effort to develop the new missile capability, called Prompt Global Strike, began in the late 1990s and through the Bush years, President Obama has expanded its budget with hopes that it can be added to US military's array of options by the middle of this decade. (Reuters) - Thai protesters stormed a satellite station on Friday, overrunning an army barricade and forcing their TV channel back on air in the first major confrontation in a three-day state of emergency.
Security forces fired water cannon and tear gas to disperse thousands of protesters who climbed over rolls of barbed wire and forced open the gate of the compound, holding it for about three hours in defiance of an emergency decree on the 27th day of anti-government street protests seeking new elections.
Most of the soldiers pulled back from the Thaicom Pcl satellite station about 60 km (35 miles) north of Bangkok, leaving the grounds in control of the "red shirts" protesters, supporters of former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra who was ousted in a military coup in 2006.
Authorities entered the station a day earlier and seized equipment that took their People Channel off air, saying it was inciting violence. In Full
In Denmark, the Carlsberg brewery has changed it's policy which allows one to drink (but not be drunk) on the job leading to:

(CNN) -- Hundreds of Carlsberg workers are on strike because the brewer failed to consult them when it changed rules on drinking alcohol on the job, a union spokesman said Friday.
Since the Danish brewer was founded in 1847, workers have been allowed to drink as many beers as they wanted during the day, said Michael Christensen, a representative of the United Federation of Danish Workers (3F).
A company spokesman said that was as long as workers didn't get drunk.
On the first of April, however, Carlsberg changed the policy so workers could only drink beer during their 30-minute lunch break.. In Full

Representative Bart Stupak, who hung up the Heath Care reform bill over anti-abortion issues will not run again in Michigan
Rep. Bart Stupak of Michigan, the embattled leader of the Democrats' anti-abortion forces during the health care debate, is expected to announce Friday he will not run for re-election.
Stupak told the Associated Press the abortion controversy was not a major factor in his decision. He is to speak at a press conference later Friday in Marquette, Michigan.
Stupak, 58, who was not expected to have an easy time winning re-election to a 10th term, had become a favorite target of Republicans, particularly those in the conservative Tea Party movement, which launched an ad campaign against him. In Full
