...And Now, For Something Completely Different (and 'Bluesical')

.

From Medicine Ball Caravan, 1971
My writeup:
Medicine Ball Caravan - A Rockumentary about a Warner Brothers band tour circa 1971/2 in a fleet of funky old buses with a bunch of funky ol' 'hippies'. B.B. King, Alice Cooper, Delaney, Bonnie, and Friends, David Peel & The Lower East Side, Stoneground, and others.

For a finale, at Antioch college Ohio, an altercation between the Vietnam war politicized students and the tour personnel breaks out while show preparations are underway leading to a quite serious and enlightening discussion of "Culture Vulture-ism" between the two factions.

It's very likely that anyone who has been raised on modern pop-culture-as-a-way-of-life, where the media conglomerates create the current cultural images and styles instead of lagging and playing catch up, as was the case in the 60s, will probably not understand what the brouhaha is all about, even after the heated discussions.
